For as long as I can remember, our go-to breakfast has been an acai bowl. It is such a great way to start the day and gives you the energy boost you need to perform at your best. To keep it interesting, we mix up the flavours in our acai by adding different ingredients. We love adding freshly squeezed orange juice for a citrusy twist and a touch of sweetness, and other times we add cacao powder and dates for a more indulgent, dessert-like smoothie.

100 grams frozen acai (1 acai sachet)
1 large frozen banana
1 tbsp plant based protein powder
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1-2 tsp honey (optional)

Combine all ingredients (including any optional extras you would like) in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass or bowl and top with your choice of buckinis, goji berries, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, activated nuts, fresh berries and coconut yoghurt.
