This peanut butter acai bowl is my go-to breakfast no matter what the season.

Making açai at home is the best way to know that you are actually getting in the nutrients of this antioxidant rich berry (rather than the cafe variety that is often laden with sugar). We simply blend a pure Amazonia açai pack (unsweetened) with frozen banana, blueberries, coconut water and Pic’s peanut butter. We also like to add in superfood powders or plant based protein however this is optional. At the moment we are LOVING the Amazonia RAW paleo fermented protein (caramel and coconut flavour to be specific!).

Ingredients

Serves 1.

1 frozen unsweetened açai sachet (100 grams)
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/3 cup coconut water
1 tbsp protein powder (optional)
1 1/2 tbsp peanut butter 

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high-power blender, blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spoon into bowls and add desired toppings.
