INGREDIENTS

  • 5 red apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Crumble

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp smooth Pic’s peanut butter
Peanut apple crumble

METHOD

  • Preheat oven to 170 degrees C. Combine apples, coconut sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
  • Transfer to oven-proof dishes and bake for approx. 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, combine all crumble ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix well.
  • Spoon the crumble mixture over the apples and return to oven for approx. 30 minutes or until crumble is golden and apples are well cooked.
  • Allow to cool slightly, serve and enjoy. We recommend serving with a dollop of coconut yoghurt and a drizzle of PB.
