Move over food colouring! With the growing awareness and availability of brightly coloured superfoods, there is now a healthy way to get creative with how you present your food. This Blue Smoothie Bowl is coloured (and nutritionally enhanced) with blue spirulina. Other great superfoods for adding colour include turmeric, pink pitaya, acai and matcha.

What is Blue Spirulina?

Blue spirulina is a blue pigment derived from blue-green algae. It is rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage.
