This Blue Smoothie Bowl is coloured (and nutritionally enhanced) with blue spirulina. Other great superfoods for adding colour include turmeric, pink pitaya, acai and matcha.
What is Blue Spirulina?
Blue spirulina is a blue pigment derived from blue-green algae. It is rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 frozen bananas
- 1/4 cup coconut yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp blue spirulina
- 2 tsp coconut nectar (optional)
METHOD
- Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender.
- Blend until creamy.
- Spoon into bowls and add toppings.
- Serve and enjoy!
