We are very humbled to have been asked to speak at this year’s BU Day. BU stands for Being Unforgettable, Being Unified, Being Us and Being You. This annual event is established by Beautiful Minds, an organisation founded by Marina Passalaris, with a mission to empower teenagers to be the best versions of themselves as well as help navigate the challenges of this time of life.
The focus of this year’s BU event is girls and their female mentors and role models, whether that’s mums, sisters, aunties, or godmothers. It’s a day to celebrate relationships, nutrition and all facets of health, as well as encourage kindness, self-esteem and connection with ourselves, others and the environment.
This year’s BU Day is hosted by the extremely knowledgable and talented mind body expert, Leanne Hall. You will be entertained by performances and hear from inspiring speakers including survivor Sophie Delezio and her mum, Caroline; Girl-Boss and Cosmopolitan Woman of the Year, Elle Ferguson; Mental Health Advocate and RUOK ambassador, Dan Price; Sustainability and Environmental warrior, Holly Somerville-Knott; Motivational speaker and social justice advocate, Lilly Somerville-Knott and the CEO of One Girl (BU Day’s chosen charity), Sarah Ireland.
At this event we will be talking all things nutrition as well as sharing one of our favourite easy, quick and nutritious lunchbox recipes. We want to show you just how delicious healthy eating can be and highlight the importance of establishing healthy habits from a young age. We feel very fortunate to have turned our shared passion into a business and we want to encourage all young girls to work hard, eat well and kick their goals!
