Tropical Mango Frappe

IMG_4543We believe that the best mango smoothies are made with the fewest ingredients because mango has such a delicious flavour on its own. Even just blending frozen mango with coconut water makes a delicious treat. You may also like to add a smaller amount of coconut water and place the mixture in the freezer to create a refreshing mango sorbet!


Serves 2

1 1/2 large mangoes, fresh or frozen
1/2 small banana, optional
1/3 cup coconut water (add according to desired consistency)
2 pineapple, kiwi or mango ice blocks*
Small handful ice cubes 

*We usually have homemade fruit ice blocks on hand, which are just made of blended coconut water and fruit. We like to add 1 or 2 to our smoothies to help thicken them and create the ‘frappe’ consistency.


  1. Combine all ingredients in a high power blender (we use a Vitamix) and blend until smooth
  2. Pour into 2 glasses and place in the fridge for 10 minutes
  3. Serve
